I visited the micro site but do not see teh webcast?
If your system has the Flash Plugin installed and meets all other requirements, click refresh on either the video player or on your browser. Once reloaded click the play button on the video player.
I do not hear audio.
Check to see your speakers are plugged in correctly and turned on, check to see that your audio is not on mute in your operating systems task bar, check the video player on the micro site and make sure the audio is not muted or volume is turned down.
I do not see video
Check to see you have clicked the large play button in the center of the video player. Shower internet connections may not load video properly. Check to see you meet the requirements listed above.
The video/audio is choppy, pixilated, or delayed.
There will be a delay when a question is asked and a response is given. Poor quality audio/video is a result of network congestion and the users home internet connection. Please be sure you are using a high speed connection and have limited applications accessing the internet at the same time.
How do I chat with Rand Teed?
Users are entered into the left hand chat window automatically with a guest ID, this is to ensure anonymity. If you would like a personalized user name follow the steps on the following page at the link - How to customize your chat ID. To chat and ask Rand a question, click on the white bar at the bottom of the chat applet on the left hand side of the micro site and type your question and press enter or return on your keyboard. Please note not all questions can be answered in the short amount of time available.
I have been kicked out of the chat room.
If you asked rapid questions in succession without pauses you will overwhelm the chat room as well as other guest and will automatically be ejected from the applet. The room moderators will also be able to ban a user if their behavior is disruptive. Please be sure to review the Chat Disclaimer/Usage Agreement linked on the previous page.
